Wind by Yasuji Yaguchi (1933–1976) is a posthumous photobook . A construction worker who began photography at 39, Yaguchi, inspired by Ken Domon and mentored by Shinzo Hanabusa, captured Japan’s essence in just four years. Edited by Hanabusa from 50,000 negatives, its 108 black-and-white images blend documentary realism with poetic influences evoking the 1970s’ sentimental and avant-garde spirit.
